It is easy to listen to the news of the fashion world, and often easiest to find out what not to wear. Everywhere you turn there is someone to give you commentary on what they think is in or out, worthy of a look or not. Of course getting an opinion of another can always be helpful, but getting a look at what people are wearing yourself is even better.
The only real way to check out what people are wear is to see it for yourself. Getting tickets to award shows like The People’s Choice, The Golden Globes, or the Emmy Awards is not likely for most of us. One choice is to go anyway. There is nothing that compares to seeing fashions in person. An image in a magazine or on a screen is sure to be distorted, if not only slightly. But the truth is if you want to make a decision for yourself, you will have to see the fashions in person. Everyone can visit the stores try garments on and see for themselves. We may not be able to get into the exclusive stores, but the question is: How committed are you to truly being fashionable and up to date.
Still it isn’t what most of us are left with. We must view someone else’s “highlights” of the show. First of all. Watch the award show on Television yourself. The only true way to become connected to the fashions of the day is to see them yourself. Not just the “highlights” but what everyone is wearing. Like any other interest in life, one must research and pay attention to know what is going on. Read the magazines, such as: Vogue, Fashion, Elle, and Glamour. In short, trends in fashion may help you make choices in your own styles, but see for yourself, and develop your own understanding of the scene.
